Shoot & Edit

$1.76 NZD

Shoot & Edit is a structured, end‑to‑end content capture and production service designed for organisations with demanding output, governance, and compliance requirements. The service delivers a controlled, auditable process from the initial definition of objectives and risk assessment through planned capture, formal review stages, and final delivery. Every phase is designed to minimise operational risk, ensure alignment with agreed specifications, and produce consistent, high‑quality outputs that meet defined business, regulatory, and stakeholder expectations.

What You Get

Initial consultation call
We begin by establishing clear communication around your project. Our goal is to gather as much information as possible and develop a shared understanding of your desired outcomes. This consultation can take place via telephone or video call and may lead to additional meetings and agreed communication routes throughout the project. We encourage open dialogue and welcome questions or ideas at any stage, as clear communication directly supports project success and quality of outcome.

Health and safety risk assessment
Depending on the project, this may be completed as a desk‑based assessment. In most cases, however, we will attend site to assess risks and determine safe and effective shooting processes. This may involve a pre‑shoot site visit and/or dynamic risk assessment and mitigation measures implemented on the day of filming.

One‑day site visit and shoot
Before capture begins, we establish a clear plan covering how the shoot will be carried out safely, what will be captured, and why. While some situations require flexibility and reactive filming, we work from a defined shot list informed by initial consultations and the health and safety assessment. We will also ask you to prepare if you or your talent will be speaking or performing on camera.

Circa three days post‑production – first‑pass edit
Following capture, all footage is transferred to our post‑production suite. This stage can be time‑consuming due to large file sizes. Specialist content may require additional processing, such as stitching, masking, reframing, or other manual manipulation for 360° equirectangular footage, or clean‑up and preparation of 3D scans and models using 3D software. Once all assets are loaded, we review the material, select the strongest moments, and carefully extract the best content for use in the edit.

Content review meeting (conference call)
We review the selected footage with you to refine direction and confirm which elements and shots will be included in the final output. This collaborative stage is often critical to achieving the strongest final result.

Circa two days post‑production – compositing and finalisation
At this stage, we assemble the final output(s) using the best available material. Working to an agreed structure, we develop style templates, captions, branding, framing, and all finishing elements required to polish the content to your desired specification. Exhibit Scotland operates its own composer network for music creation and can also supply outputs without music if you prefer to add your own. Bespoke audio is available by separate arrangement, offering fully unique sound design.

Final content review meeting (conference call)
A final review to confirm readiness for delivery.
