Project and Event Capture

For over 15 years, we have specialised in capture that helps organisations clearly demonstrate impact, value, and outcomes. Our approach is designed for clients who need to evidence delivery to funders, while also creating compelling content that speaks to a broader public and stakeholder audience. We work with you to capture your project or event, producing high‑quality visual outputs that support reporting, archiving, promotion, and future engagement.

What You Get:

·       Initial consultation call: This is where we want to set up our communication dialogue with you surrounding your project our aim is to get as much information from you as possible at this point and try to get clear agreed picture with you of what desired outcomes you envisage. This can be done via telephone or video call and we may wish to set up further meetings and communication routes to enable us to contact you throughout the project we also want you to feel that you can contact us if you have questions, ideas or more information.

·       Health and safety risk assessment: In some situations, this may be done as a desk based exercise, however in most situations we will require to be on site to make decisions on safe and effective shooting process, this means we may want to visit prior to work commences and / or we may asses risk and measures of mitigation dynamically on the day of shooting.

·       One or more days visit and shoot: We want to have a clear plan of how we're going to shoot safely, what we're going to shoot and why before we begin capture. Although sometimes we have to let things unfold and capture them on the fly, we should have a clear idea of shots required and desired for your project, from our initial communications and health and safety risk assessment. We will also ask you to prepare if you, or your talent are going to speak to / perform on camera.

·       circa 3 days per shoot day post-production producing first pass edited content: Once the shooting is over we need to get captured footage off the cameras and into our post-production editing suite. This process in itself can be time consuming. 360° equirectangular files may require stitching, masking, reframing or (other manual manipulation) before they are ready for editing. 3D scans / models may require cleaning up in 3D art software before being rendered out for further use.  Once we have all the captured data loaded into our editing hardware, we inspect the footage to select the best moments, before surgically extracting these moments for further use. This is a whittling down process which takes time to ensure the most is made from footage captured.

·       content review meeting via conference call: After we've gathered together the highest quality footage from our capture day we like to review it with our clients. We find this is very valuable to the final outputs, as it offers you an opportunity to choose elements and which shots go into the final edit / product.

·       circa 2 days post-production content compositing / finalising: by this time we are working with very best materials, bringing them together to form your final output/s.  You have specified or we have decided together on the structure for piece/s and we're working on setting up a style template, captions, branding, all of the polishing required to turn the various media into your desired output. Exhibit Scotland has its own composer network for all music in our products and we offer outputs without music should you wish to add your own. Bespoke audio is charged separately on arrangement with the composer, offering you and your outputs truly unique stand out audio.
